Flu season that is. Doc Draper made his annual visit Euphoria Falls Elementary School last week to give everyone their much anticipated influenza inoculations. The children were anxious to see him and the teachers also enjoyed his pleasant demeanor. Worries of the deadly "Bird Flu" seem to have "flown the coop" but the Asian flu is still a threat as well as swine flu and various other animal flus. |
If you get the flu, you'll have lots of company. Each year from November to April, all across the United States, as many as 60 million people come down with the flu. Although children get the flu most often, people in every age group - including teens - can catch it.
The flu virus spreads through the air when a person who has the virus sneezes, coughs, or speaks. If you think you might have the flu do not sneeze, cough or speak to anyone for several days. Take the Doc's advice, get plenty of rest and drink lots of Drapers Euphoric Spring water.

There has been no new "Possum Man" sightings lately. However, many residents of the Pineywood Acres community report mysterious sounds in the night, overturned trash barrels and missing cat food. Les Trottam has sent us this photo he took of what appears to be giant possum tracks. "I found these tracks right outside the house last Thursday morning." he said. Giant Possum Tracks |
Sheriff Spurgill continues his investigation. When asked if he is any closer to finding the Possum Man he remarked that he could be out "playin' possum" anywhere in the hills. "I don't think that he is going to harm anyone as they are usually friendly." He added that they also see very well in the dark and could be watching you if you go out at night and you wouldn't even know it. If you happen to spot the mysterious "Possum Man" do not try to approach him but immediately take a picture of him and send it to us at the Review. |
Multi-tasking in the home
Here's a handy tip sent in by Mrs. Willard Stemple of Fredonia Lane . It seems her grandson Jack enjoys his bath and Mrs, Stemple will certainly enjoy the extra time she saves. We just hope she stays clear of the disposal switch, "Ouch!" |
