"The Doctor" has arrived

Doctor Funn
What's up, Doc?
Residents of Euphoria Falls were greeted bright and early this morning by the return of Dr. Funn. A long time fixture on the streets of downtown Euphoria Falls, Dr. Funn has charmed his way into the hearts of several generations of residents and visitors alike. His arrival each Spring marks the official beginning of the tourist season in the Potatoe River Valley.

According to the Doc, "Laughter is the best medicine." When it comes to old fashioned fun the doctor is always in.

Mysterious "Possum Man" Returns

Another sighting of the mysterious "Possum Man" was reported last week by Leonard Hicks according to sherriff Johnny Ray Spurgill.

Mr. Hicks stated that the "Possum Man" was attempting to cross highway 711 near the old cider mill. "He had that same ole possum grin on his face when I shined my light on him," said Leonard, "You know, I think he recognizes me. I believe he's a friendly sort. Maybe he's just lonely"

This is the third sighting of "The Possum Man" in the past three weeks. Previously the creature was observed digging in foothills just south of Bearfoot Branch.

All the sightings were reported by Mr. Hicks. Sherriff Spurgill stated that a full investigation is underway and reminds all citizens to be on the lookout. He futher advises that any encounters be approached with caution, "Possums are usually quite shy and are not prone to violent action, however it is better to be safer than sorry."

Its Square Dance Time Again

Swing your partner.

Local music makers Phil and Gaye Johnson provided a rousing good time for all who attended this month's square dance and spagettii supper held at the Woodmen of the World social hall. Friends and neighbors from three counties enjoyed the festivities. All the proceeds were donated to animal healthful living fund. Phil and Gaye can be heard each week on the popular radio program The KingPup Radio Show broadcast by Radio YUR.

Junior Mud Wrestling returns to Euphoria Falls this Saturday at 8PM at the 4H center. All those who wish to participate call Luanne Farber. The mud will, again, be supplied by The Lonesome Pine Mulch Farm.
